This week Ed Sheeran released his second music video of ÷ “Shape Of You”. A catchy pop song that now is trending worldwide. So this time on The Echo Music we’re going to talk about this young and famous pop star.
Ed Sheeran started his music career since 2004 and independently released his first collection of work, Spinning Man. In 2008, he auditioned for the ITV series, Britannia High. In 2009 he released one EP titled “You Need Me”.
In 2010, Sheeran released the EP titled Loose Change with known songs like “The A Team”.
Little by little, Ed Sheeran became famous through videos of You Tube also getting credit from The Independent newspaper, England football captain Rio Ferdinand and Elton John
Sheeran also self-released two other EPs in 2010, Ed Sheeran: Live at the Bedford and Songs I Wrote with Amy, which is a collection of love songs he wrote in Wales with singer, Amy Wadge.
On January 2011, Sheeran released another independent EP, No. 5 Collaborations Project, featuring grime artists such as Wiley, Jme, Devlin, Sway and Ghetts. With this EP, Sheeran gained mainstream attention for reaching number 2 in the iTunes chart without any promotion or label, selling over 7,000 copies in its first week.
Ed Sheeran wrote a song for One Direction and after that Taylor Swift contacted Sheeran and he sings in “Everything Has Changed” song of Taylor Swift.
In 2014, Ed Sheeran released x (multiply) an album with catchy and successful songs as Sing or Thinking Out Loud breaking records on global music tops during 2 years.
On January 6th Sheeran released “Castle on the Hil” and “Shape of You” Both singles went on to break the Spotify day one streaming record, with a combined total of over 13 million streams in 24 hours breaking records worldwide.
The Echo Music believes that ÷ (Divide) will be an extraordinary album and probably one of the best albums in the music history breaking records worldwide.
