First Aid KitStay Gold
An extraordinary new album from this Swedish indie folk duo, after of their previous album The Lion’s Roar, we considerate this album like one of the essentials on your vinyl collection.
Stay Gold starts with My Silver Lining one of the singles of the album that remarks the folk indie sound of the duo following of Master Pretender.
In words of First Aid kit this album is more personal. According to the review of Pitchfork Stephen M. Deusner thought that the Söderbergs sisters “remain romantics in an unromantic world, not only writing lyrics about fighting the good fight but making the kind of wide-eyed, ‘70s-tinged folk-rock that thrives on soaring vocals, warm harmonies, big choruses, and heart-on-sleeve lyrics.” He also considered the album “certainly their grandest and arguably their most consistent release to date”.
Another songs that we love is Cedar Lane, followed for Shattered & Hollow, great melodic sounds that even NME reviewed “the art of sophisticated sadness”, and “carefully crafted a tender batch of songs that disarm not only with their beauty but also their honesty.
And this album closes with a heartbreaking ballad “A long Time Ago”; this song could definitely make us cry.
In 2015, First Aid Kit released an EP titled America. This EP contains a live version of My Silver Lining and Stay Gold plus a new song titled Brother.
Nowadays First Aid Kit is working on their new album and the Wednesday Van William, vocalist of WATERS released a new song titled Revolution in collaboration with First Aid Kit.
